What do you need?

  • This is the water chemistry test kit I use (at home and in the field), and recommend. https://amzn.to/4a8wpz1

  • Submersible Transfer Pump - For quickly draining your spa in 30-60 minutes, instead of waiting hours. https://amzn.to/3JR6Ub2

  • UV Protectant - Apply a coat of UV protectant to cover skins, steps and hot tub cabinet, every 3 months (or more for high sun exposure and high altitudes). https://amzn.to/4a8wpz1

  • Pipe Wrench - For checking that pump unions are tight, regularly. https://amzn.to/4a8wpz1

  • Spa Vac - For cleaning out heavier debris (sand, pine needles, dirt, etc…) that sinks to the bottom of your hot tub.https://amzn.to/4psU6qj

  • Stain for Cedar Cabinets - Cedar cabinets do need to be recoated, with a UV protectant stain to retain their luster. This should be done every 12-24 months, for best appearance. Your frequency will depend on sun exposure. https://amzn.to/48tTye5

    1. Filter For Refilling Spa - If you are on a well, or your municipality has a lot of minerals or metals in your water, it's always best to practice to use a filter when refilling your spa. My local water is pretty good, but I still use a filter anyway.

  • Space Heater to Have In Emergency - In the event the electrical for your hot tub fails, or there is a problem with your hottub itself, and it is not functional…. One of these space heaters, properly placed in the cabinet, will prevent it from freezing, until service can get out to you. https://amzn.to/3Ya0oiM
